I am so delighted  to share with you our exciting  stories that have made a huge difference in the lives of our learners and school community at St.Catherine Junior school – Sonde with insightful sneak or peek of our events in the months of May and June Term II 2024.

This term promises to be another exciting and eventful academic term to look forward to. Remember to always check on our website for monthly updates and useful information about co-curricular activities, academic cores, meetings, and other related important events.

I am thankful to the Board of directors, teaching and non-teaching staff as well as parents community for being active and displaying excellent team spirit towards the success of the school programs and activities.  I have witnessed amazing results exhibited in different sections of our school calendar as planned.

 Allow me to bring to your attention the various activities done as per term II.

 I hope the activities will keep you interested and motivated.  

The Activities;
  • Sports > like P.E, Chess, Swimming, Netball, Scrabble, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball and Ludo.
  • School tournaments and inter house competitions were organized.
  • Desmond Tutu house won overall.
  • We had bull roasting for the winners and school at large in regard to sports competitions.
  • Impressive high quality educational workshops. English field learning tours and science experiments.
  • Educational elections and swearing in of new prefectorial body 2024.
  • Whole school weekly assemblies.
  • Academic cores and values, Project based learning , digital academic moodle platform learning.
  • Nursery and lower section parents meetings
  • Two fortnight tests 

Our children are cared for , nutritious meals are constantly served , supervised and extra teaching is carried out all round with health training tips from professional personnels in specified areas.

These activities have helped our learners to explore their talents and potential life skills in different subjects and activities’

 Medals and certificates to both the school and participants have been consistently issued at all levels. Learners’ newsletter top stories are attached expressing their feelings on these mentioned activities.
