Sports are activities that engage learners in physical exercises.
Sports help us to learn new things like how to play football, netball, basketball, volleyball, handball and other games.
This term we had sports activities that took place. On Saturday, we had inter-school competitions. This interschool competitions we were in the school in Mukono.
We had football and netball competitions. I participated in football U12. After playing all the matches, they announced the schools in their categories who qualified for sub zone competitions. Our school St. Catherine Junior school U12 qualified.
Our team was happy because we represented our school perfectly.
I like sports because it unites us as one. Sports is the best.

BALL GAMES AT ST. CATHERINE JUNIOR SCHOOL

My name is Mwesigwa Grace Ethan.
I study at St. Catherine Junior school in P.6 Dove.
At our school, we have very many ball games e.g. football, netball, handball, volleyball, etc.  One day we hosted sub zonal games. Our school competed in various games like football, netball and handball. In all things, people enjoyed and had fun.

Hello everyone, my name is Mukisa Seanice Mercy and am in P.6 Crane located in Sonde.
At St. Catherine Junior school, we have a lot of enjoyable games and sports for example; netball, football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball and so on.
At St. Catherine, we also host different schools, both government aided and private ones for friendly competitions e.g Kiwango Umea, Angels Wing and so on.
So, we feel free and have enjoyable time of our life with prizes like golden medals and trophies.

Hello, its me Asiimwe Michelle at St. Catherine Junior school in P.6. Am writing an article about sports.
I love my school because of sports. It has a big field where we can play.
We hosted six schools to play with us in netball, football, handball and volleyball.
Our school was the first in football but God was on our side and we won as the first in football. In netball were the first. In handball we were the second and everyone clapped.  The MC announced the winners as St. Catherine Junior school. So, the next time we have sports it won’t be in St. Catherine fields but in national fields.

My name is Muwuluke Yafesi. I am in O.6. I love sports because of football.
This term, we had ball games. It was an interschool friendly games. While I played football in U14 but we failed to pass through but luckily, our U12 passed through but we also had friendly matches for handball but we still lost but they still picked some players from our school like Wisdom, Bahati, etc and they passed through for municipal.

My name is Ssentayi Raihan. I enjoy sports.
Sports is fun, we like playing and learning. Sports is also a class where we learn from practical skills like following instructions and also in sports there is a lesson called P.E(Physical Education). We do P.E every Wednesday from baby to primary seven. Then in the evening after classes, we play various sports activities like football, netball, handball, basketball and volleyball. We paly mind games like chess, scrabble, ludo, snakes and ladders.
We also have a swimming pool at school and we swim according to our respective classes. In swimming, we play water pool. That’s why I enjoy sports.

Hi, my name is Mwesigwa Jayden. One Saturday, we had sub zone games at St. Catherine Junior school.
We had football, volleyball, netball etc our school invited so many schools like ten and above. We played different and fun games.
We used balls etc. It was an interesting day that we started with football which was U14 and we which we had one goal against three goals.
Next, was the netball which we had 12 goals to zero. At, 3:00pm, it was U12 to play and they put for us music. There was this school which cheated the children of 13 and above to play in under 12 and it is how we the day was.

As a school, we engage ourselves in different sports and also engage our neighbouring schools within different levels e.g sub zone, municipal, etc
This term we faced very many schools from each level e.g Kireka development, Kimanya P/S, Kiwango Umea P/S, etc
We had fun and made new friends. The handball match was also available. The game taught our team a lesson of cooperation and teamwork. The games were not about winning but having fun.

In my school St. Catherine Junior School, we have very many sports activities like football, netball, basketball, volleyball and athletics.
In my school we have sports with different schools one of them is Kiwango. Most times when we play with them, we are always the first.
In second term, we competed with Kireka Development, Kiwango and Bethel Primary School in netball we were the third in football and we were the second in netball.

SPORTS!

Sport activities are the best activities to me. It helps to refresh children’s minds. Sports make the body fit and healthy.
Here at my school, we held inter school competitions for ball games like football my best sport and netball.
I participated in football (under fourteen) and played all the games. We won three games and two games.
After the games, they announced the points and we ranked second after Kireka Development.
The importance of holding such competitions are; it enables players to make more friends and it enables players to show their talents.
