A party is a social. Occasion at which people eat, drink and enjoy themselves. Briefly, these are things done at a party. At our school, we had a leavers’ party at Nyenga Resort in Buikwe District. On that day, I had two outfits to wear. In addition, I can assure you that I might have been with the outfit among the boys, because of the confidence my friends gave me. We travelled to the venue by bus, which had good must to keep us alert. While at the venue, we ate a nice and delicious meal after keeping ourselves happy because of the fun box game. After the meal, we were ordered to go back to our respective buses in surprise for a boat cruise. This was on an amazing modified boat ordered from China by our loving director. To cut the long story short, we had a lot of fun cruising on the boat on Lake Victoria and learnt brief things about fish rearing. After all that, we got a chance to dance according to our tunes, and show off our second outfits on the nice decorated photo booth. We walked on the red carpet and reached the booth. At the end of the day, we did not want to leave, but we had to go back to school. We boarded our buses and came back to school.
MY LEAVERS’ PARTY by Bazira Christabelle Atwenze
My school, St. Catherine Junior School, held a leavers’ party for the candidates. It was really hectic before the party, because my mother and I needed to go downtown. It became easy when we remembered our stylist named Shuby. She helped us get the outfits and we left town. A party is a school occasion held to have fun. It can simply be called a bash. The journey really made me debilitated because it was a two-hour journey from Kampala-Sonde to Jinja-Nyenga. On our way, we passed through Mabira Forest but we never reached the source of the Nile. As soon as we arrived at our lovely venue, we took up our seats but we were later asked us to enter through the red carpet. The entrance time was so enticing that we all enjoyed. After some time, we had our mouth-watering meal, that was all organised by our loving director. We also went for a boat cruise on part of Lake Victoria. Lastly, some of us changed our outfits and entered with some marvelous strokes of the dance. As the sun set, I gave my speech that was so nice and inspiring. We concluded by cutting cake and also had a dance. At around 7:30 pm, we set off for school and reached at 10:00pm. How lovely our leavers’ party was!
LEAVERS’ PARTY 2024 by Aliguma Vicky Bright
A party is a social occasion at which people eat, drink, talk dance and enjoy themselves. St. Catherine Junior School organised a party for the candidates of 2024. The party was held on 2nd September at Eco resort Nyenga. Unfortunately, I did not go for the party. I enjoyed staying home by carrying my baby brother and playing with him. My day was somehow boring because I thought I was going to start copying the previous work. I thought that my fellow pupils had copied work. Anyhow, I ate a lot and lost my peace. I think and hope that my friends enjoyed their party.
THE LEAVERS’ PARTY FOR PRIMARY SEVEN LEARNERS by Nabukeera Karen
A party is a school to which people are invited in order to eat, drink and enjoy themselves. People are also invited to make their last memories in a certain place. When we went for a short holiday, I asked my mother if I could go for the party, and her response was “Yes”. She told me that I would not go with her to town to shop but I would tell her what I needed for the party. So, she went to town on Thursday and returned late in the evening. On Sunday, we woke up at 5:09 am, My mother and I went to City Shopper and bought the requirements for school. I came back to school very excited to see my friends again. Monday, was the party day. We woke up very early and set off for to Nyenga Eco Resort for the party. As we were on the way, we passed through Mabira Forest. Before we reached the forest, we had seen the Lake Victoria. When we reached the venue, we danced for some time, then ate chapati and water. We played a game called fun box. After the game, we had our lunch and we went for a boat cruise. I was so excited and I even wanted to go for another one. After that, we hanged clothes and cut the cake. At night, we came back to school. I enjoyed everything.
P7 LEAVERS’ PARTY by Tutu Jesse
A party is a social occasion which often is in a person’s home at which people eat, drink, talk, dance and enjoy themselves. I was not interested in the party but my mother had already paid and she told me that it would be fun. She also told me that the whole point of going was to make memories, with all this, I couldn’t say ‘No’ My mother helped me pick the clothes I should wear. She was caring and loving although she was with me for only two days. I mostly enjoyed the food and the boat cruise. Though I was sick, I had to carry my medicine, but I still managed to enjoy myself. There was a lot off dust on the road and somehow, the dust on the road reached my white shirt. The best part was the green grass, it was a beautiful scenery. I learnt that they always keep the grass green because it is an ecological resort and that is why it is called Nyenga Eco Resort.
