New Prefects Take the Oath!

My name is Tuyizire Ethan. I am in Primary Five Dove. I am writing this article about swearing in ceremony of prefects. This is how it was last term. I wrote an application letter and I started campaigning this term. We had elections, teacher Emmanuel released the results. I got the least votes but never I didn’t lose, there is always a next year. The swearing in ceremony took place on Thursday,20th June,2024. It was a sunny morning; the parents were on time and very happy. Teacher Jerome was the master of ceremony. The ceremony took two hours. I enjoyed the speeches, meals etc. I would like to contest as a head boy next year.

My name is Kawuma Loy Suzan. I am Primary Five Dove. I am ten years old. I am going to talk about swearing in ceremony. What I enjoyed about swearing in ceremony of prefects was that I was among the school choir which performed Kiganda dance and I was one of the best dancers. I also enjoyed the food that we ate like samosa, a banana and juice.

The parents enjoyed the dance and we all ate a cake.

What a wonderful ceremony it was!

My name is Nakabuusu Josemarie. I am in Primary Five Dove. I enjoyed the swearing in ceremony because I was one of the prefects who were honored that day. I held a Bible and swore in the name of Lord to help me. I was then given a tag and I was happy. That day, my mother congratulated me and gave me something to eat. After that amazing moment, I got a chance to speak to the guest of honor who was the father of the head girl. We had some presentations from the school choir and all our guests were happy.

My name is Ouma Alikipo John. I am in Primary Five Dove. I am going to talk about the swearing in ceremony. It was a really interesting ceremony whereby I saw the incoming and outgoing prefects of St. Catherine Junior School. It inspired me to become a prefect next year. Some of my friends presented the Kiganda dance. I was really motivated and I am planning to contest for games and sports prefect next year and this time I will win.

My name is Jason Shine Munene. I am in Primary Five Dove. I am going to talk about swearing in ceremony. The ceremony was very interesting because most of the people I voted were selected as winners. The school choir presented to the guests an amazing Kiganda dance and a poem, it was really interesting to watch. 

My name is Amanya Farithu. I am in Primary Five Dove. I enjoyed the swearing in ceremony because I swore in as the assistant head boy of St. Catherine Junior School. I enjoyed the way the school choir danced. I also enjoyed the meals and the cake with fellow friends and prefects.

My name is Kutamba Eugenia. I am in Primary Five Dove. I am going to talk about the swearing in ceremony. It was a nice ceremony because I handed over powers to an incoming prefect and my mother came to celebrate with me, I also enjoyed the nice meals.

My name is Mugisha Elly. I am in Primary Five Crane. My heart was so terrified, I did not want to swear in. When it was time reached, I saw the dance that I wanted to join so I, started clapping to show respect. I saw the head boy speaking Luganda and he was so fluent. The time came for swearing in and they did it very well. Before it was my turn, l looked at my mother and l got courage. Then I spoke perfectly. l thank God for helping me.

My name is Nanyonga Pamela. I am in primary five. On Thursday 20th June 2024, it was swearing in for prefects and I was one of them. At first, I was scared but at the end I got courage. The M.C announced my name and I did it well. After swearing in, most of the prefects went to their parents to eat snacks with their parents. It was my best day.
